Mario ToneguzziCanadian Tire is expanding its Triangle Rewards loyalty program to include Husky gas stations in the country.

The company announced on Wednesday that this will give Canadians the ability to earn more electronic Canadian Tire Money (CTM).

“We’re thrilled to partner with Husky and expand the reach of our loyalty program, adding more than 400 new sites that will reward customers with more Canadian Tire Money when they buy gas,” said Shawn Stewart, vice-president of loyalty and customer insights for Canadian Tire Corp. Ltd., in a news release.

“We are always looking for opportunities to improve our offers to our customers and bring them added value, and the addition of Husky to our program does just that.”

Canadian Tire Mastercard cardholders can now earn CTM on fuel purchases at participating Husky locations across Canada, in addition to at Canadian Tire Gas+ locations. Canadians can now earn five cents per litre in CTM on every litre of fuel purchased with the Triangle Mastercard at participating Husky locations.

Triangle Rewards is a no-fee loyalty program associated with Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, and participating Mark’s and Atmosphere locations.

“This is an opportunity for two Canadian retail companies to offer their customers even more choices and additional value,” said Lawrence Richler, Husky’s vice-president of Canadian products marketing, in a news release.

“When people fuel up at Husky, not only can they earn Canadian Tire Money by using a Triangle credit card, they’ll also be able to earn myHusky Reward points with every purchase.”
