Swan Hills students have entered their last week of summer vacation before the new school year starts next week. This summer is sure to have been more enjoyable than last year, with almost all of the province’s public health measures being dropped on Canada Day and allowing for a mostly normal summer.

With the new school year fast approaching, many Swan Hills kids and youth are looking to squeeze as much summer fun as possible into their last week of freedom.

While the rain over the past couple of days has been a blessing in reducing the wildfire risk in the area, it hasn’t been as helpful for enjoying summer activities outside. Fortunately, the weather seems to be mostly cooperating for this last push until school starts.

Friday and Saturday are calling for some rain, but otherwise, the forecast looks promising for those looking to get outside and soak up the joy and freedom of summer while they can.

Hopefully, the summer has been filled with good times and wonderful memories for everyone.
